The Valga Museum is a pleasant place for leisure, get-togethers and joint activities for children, young people and those who have not forgotten their childhood. Before World War II the museum building housed the Säde (Sparkle) Society together with its bank, and a very popular theatre. The permanent exhibition about the history of Valga County with numerous wax figures can be found in the former rooms of the bank, which has also preserved the safe room together with an imposing safe even until today. At the workshops of the museum gallery visitors can model clay and learn about folk art and handicraft methods.
