The main task of Estonian Museum of Natural History is to familiarize its guests with Estonian nature – its geology, fauna and principal biological associations. In one hall animals from all over the world can be seen. At temporary exhibitions exhibits from the funds of the museum and directly from nature are displayed. The museum plays an important role as the collector and keeper of natural materials representing biological diversity. Every living being is unique, even when stuffed or dried into a herbarium sheet.
