The Museum is a permanent exposition of the way of life of Old Believers at the end of the 19th and in the beginning of the 20th century. The museum studies the life of three villages located at Lake Peipus; the greatest number of Estonians live in Varnja. The peculiar culture of Old Believers is an inseparable part of Estonian history. It is now the last opportunity to make efforts for preserving this fragment of culture.
