Koeru Museum gathers local lore. The objects brought and donated by local people are exhibited at the museum. The activists of Koeru museum have studied and photographed their home neighbourhood and written and published corresponding materials. Many history-related questions regarding the district find answers at the museum. The guests of the museum often visit also historical Koeru and a branch of the museum – the restored chapel of the former lord of the Aruküla estate lieutenant general Carl Friedrich von Tolli (1777 – 1842).
