The museum gathers, keeps and exposes objects related to the history and culture of the town of Tapa. The principle, according to which the exhibit should convey the spirit of an inhabitant of Tapa, is followed. Permanent exposition introduces the history of Tapa as a sausage, railway and military town. In addition monthly exhibitions are held. The museum is located in a residential building constructed in 1934.
