The museum deals with the history and cultural heritage of the parish and the rural municipality of Nõo. It gives an overview of the older history of the parish, its churches, cemeteries and manors, the schools having operated in the neighbourhood of Nõo and rural life throughout the times. The museum has published three volumes of a series called “Pages of the History of Nõo”.
Various art and photographic expositions are displayed in the exhibition hall.
