The City of Tallinn Pedagogic Museum operated in 1922–45. In 1983–95 the Pedagogic Museum functioned under various teacher training institutions; it is the autonomous institution of Tallinn Pedagogic University since 1999. A great number of personal archives (i.e. the archives of A. Elango, H. Liimets, and H. Rajamaa) and collections (i.e. educational life of the Estonians in exile, the history of teaching the deaf, the history of Estonian school reforms) are deposited at the museum. The funds are reflected in a detailed electronic catalogue. Exhibitions are inspired by current problems and various anniversaries related to the history of education.
