The pottery museum is located in the vicinity of the Siimusti clay industry. The industry was established in 1886 and is still operating. In addition to the museum one can also visit the clay industry.
A unique collection of pottery is displayed in the museum. An important role is played by the history of local ceramics of Siimusti from the first articles made on spot to contemporary production. The museum has also a rich collection of ceramics from 1920’ies and 1930’ies and forms produced in the Soviet period. Various technologies for working with different clays are also introduced.
