Already for four decades the Museums have been engaged in studying and interpreting the life of coastal inhabitants. Today the Foundation Museum of Coastal Folk owns four museums, which intertwine the history, traditions and culture of Estonia as a maritime country:
Museum of Coastal Folk (est. 1971)
Viimsi OpenAir Museum (est. 1980)
Naissaar Museum (est. 2001)
Prangli Islands Museum (est. 2009)
