The Museum of KGB Cells is located in Tartu, in the “grey house” on Riia Hill where in the 1940s and 50s the South Estonian Centre of the NKVD/KGB was situated. Visitors may explore the cellar of the building where the arrest cells were situated. Some of the cells, the lock-up room and the corridors of the cellar have been renovated in their former state. Other former cells contain an exposition, which gives a survey of Estonian post-war fight for freedom and of the crimes of the communist regime.
