The main purpose of the AHHAA Science Centre is to introduce science to the public at large. By today more than 500,000 people at different ages have visited AHHAA-events. The role of the AHHAA is to enable an attractive and innovative multifunctional study environment, providing services oriented to acquiring new knowledge. The basic method applied is the “hands-on” exhibitions, which are supported by different additional educational environments (planetarium, science theatre, etc.). Within the framework of AHHAA à la carte programme services are also provided in other towns and rural areas.
