The museum has treasured up the history of the region from its first mentioning in the year 1503. In the first half of the 20th century Narva-Jõesuu was a health-resort town with unique architecture and marvellous sand beaches. At that time famous artist and writers spent their holidays at Narva-Jõesuu and the museum displays their letters, photos and books. The museum hosts active social and cultural life.
